Sums it up nicely! I’ve struggled for years with obsessive-compulsive perfectionist tendencies, and it’s much more than simply having high standards and wanting to be successful.
Perfectionism originates from anxiety and fear of failure or imperfection — which is an entirely self-sabotaging thinking pattern because life is imperfect, as are all of us! It sets unrealistic standards and creates unnecessary anxiety.
